Athens and NHS Evidence maintenance 31st July 2012

Athens / Eduserv are carrying out maintenance between 07:00am and 9:00am Tuesday 31st July. There may be temporary disruption affecting login and admin functions. NHS Evidence are carrying out maintenance between 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Tuesday 31st July. The NHS Evidence website (including HDAS and My Journals etc) will not be available for some time during this maintenance window. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

World Hepatitis Day 28th July 2012

RELATED HEALTH LIBRARY RESOURCES Around 1 in 12 people throughout the world live with chronic hepatitis B or C, yet awareness of this disease is inexplicably low. World Hepatitis Day , an event created by the World Hepatitis Alliance , aims to raise awareness of the huge scale of this viral infection, informing people of who might be at risk and about how to avoid infection. The event is coordinated by patients, for patients, aiming to prevent not only new infections, but also to deliver improvements in the health outcomes for people living with hepatitis B or C. Accessing Medicines Complete

We are experiencing problems accessing Medicines Complete. This is available for NHS users at UHNS and North Staffs Combined Healthcare via Athens username and password. NHS Network unavailable in the IT Suite

Unfortunately the NHS network PCs, in the IT Suite, are not available for use this morning due to a water leak. NHS users can request a temporary login at counter, in order to use the Keele network to access the internet. However the NHS intranet will not be accessible. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to have the problem sorted soon.

IT Disruption 18th and 21st July 2012

There will be some disruption to IT services during Wednesday 18 th July and Sunday 21 st July as IT complete some maintenance issues. This will affect library counter services and access to the website as well as the IT facilities in the IT suite including access to email, VLE, printing, scanning, and photocopying.
