We have a number of services that you can request online via our website:

Inter-Library Loan (ILL) – if we don’t have a book or article that you need, you can request an inter-library loan and we will try to find it from another library.

Literature Search Service – if you don’t have time to do your own literature search we can do it for you. Complete our online form to make your request.

Information Skills Training – we offer a comprehensive training programme throughout the year. You can book on a scheduled course via our online booking form.

Stock Suggestion – if you think we are missing a vital text from our collection you can make a stock suggestion online.

NHS access to AMED has moved

 AMED is the  Allied and complementary medicine database, providing abstracts covering subjects within allied health therapies as well as some nursing topics. This has previously been provided to NHS staff via the Ovid platform. Access to this database has now moved to the Proquest Dialog platform; note that this is different from the Proquest platform that we currently use for other databases. AMED is provided by NHS England as part of the NHS core content collection. Proquest provide additional help to using their resources on this website . All relevant links have been updated in the NHS Resources page on the Health Library website . You will need your NHS openAthens login to access this database. Health Library newsletter issue 10 - digital skills themed edition

 Issue 10, for April 2024, of the Health Library newsletter is now available. You can read it online . Over the beginning of this year we have been posting all about the different ways you can develop your digital skills and how the Health Library can help.
