New Library System - expected live Friday 1st July

The installation of the new Library Search system (replacement for the Catalogue system) is expected to take place 1st July. Over the implementation period 1st to 4th July please check the Keele Campus home page for details of where to search library resources and how to access your library account. We will update our pages as soon as possible. Note: NHS users can still access NHS-subscribed resources via the Healthcare Resources page .

URGENT MESSAGE: Current HDAS

Message from HDAS: We will be conducting essential service maintenance on Tuesday 28th June 2016 during the evening. Current HDAS will continue to be available, however any new saved searches created after 5pm may not be available after the work is complete.  Saved searches in current HDAS will be available again from Wednesday morning.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Changes to the library catalogue and your library account

The Health Library and Keele University are changing to a new library system and catalogue. Our new catalogue ‘Library Search’ will be available for you to use from 4th July. As part of the change – the way library loans are managed will change from 4th July onwards. To keep track of your due dates, you will need to log into your library account online by: Going to the library website www.keele.ac.uk/healthlibrary Click ‘Library Search’. Click on ‘Sign in’ in the top right hand corner, and click ‘NHS users’ in the next screen. The credentials you will need to sign in to your account will be the same as you currently use – your library card barcode is your User ID. Once signed in click on ‘My Account’ and your list of current loans and due dates will display. If you have any problems logging in please contact the library and we will look into it, tel: 01782  679500. Diabetes Awareness Week

12th - 18th June 2016 By 2035 it is estimated that the number of people living with diabetes will rise to 535 million. Over the last two years it has led to the deaths of between 1.5 and 5.1 million people world-wide. Diabetes UK aims to care for, connect with and campaign on behalf of all people affected by and at risk of diabetes, reaching people with diabetes in local communities across the UK.  This year Diabetes Awareness Week’s theme is Setting the Record Straight and it is seeking stories from individuals living with diabetes. In doing so its goal is to raise awareness of the disease among the population of the UK in order to prevent its increase.
