eTutorial Changes

Over the next few days we will be removing some of the etutorials from our website. These include: eTutorials relating to the old catalogue Poorly used etutorials More new updated etutorials will be coming online over the next few months. There will be some restructuring of the organisation of the etutorials.

No card reloading after Friday 29th July

There will be no card loading machines available to add credit to Keele or NHS Library cards (to pay for printing and photocopying) after Friday 29 th July. If you require any printing or photocopying and do not have sufficient funds on your card: Add your printable items to a memory stick, bring to the counter, a staff member will print your items, you can pay in cash or by credit/debit card. Bring your photocopying to the counter, a staff member will photocopy your items, you can pay in cash or by credit/debit card. Keele users can add credit to their Keele card online via the Keele Card web page .

Disruption to Keele IT Services Saturday 16th July 2016

The following statement has been issued by Keele IT: ***** Once a year IT Services test our ability to recover from a major disaster by switching off the data centres and checking that the systems can be recovered. Our Disaster Recovery event will be taking place from 08:00 until approximately 18:30 on Saturday 16th July 2016. What does this mean for staff and students? On Saturday 16th July, access to IT systems, whether on or off campus will be affected. Access to SCIMS, KLE, eVision will be affected for part or all of the day. If you are on campus then telephones, wifi and network connections in offices, IT Suite or Labs will be affected for part or all of the day. If you access services from RSUH campus including the internet, library system and Eduroam then there will be disruption to these services between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm on Saturday. Access to Keele Web Pages, Internet, Google Mail and Apps may suffer some minor disruption but should be available all d

Automatic Renewal of Library Items

The new Library Management System will now automatically renew your loaned items. How will I know? You won’t be automatically informed that your items have been renewed. However you can log in to your account to check. You will also be sent a monthly status report (via email) confirming the status of your library account and loans. If an item has not been renewed then you will be informed via email. What could stop a renewal? Your borrowed item may not be renewed if… It has been requested by another user Your account is more than £10 in deficit Your library membership is due to expire. There are a small number of membership types who are not eligible for automatic renewals.

Use Google Chrome to access Library Search

We advise our NHS-based users to use the Google Chrome internet browser to access our online resources. In particular please use Google Chrome when trying to access the new Library Search system to search for library items or to log on to your library account.

New Library Search LIVE!

The new library catalogue system – Library Search – is now live! You can use Library Search to search for library resources as well as access your library account. Find out more about Library Search on our website . Your Library Account Your library account has been moved to the new system. Your current loans have been automatically moved over and we’re wiping all fines up to the 29th June. You can find more information about borrowing books on our website .
